WELL, THAT WAS QUICK
Back at the library, like all the peans who don't have computers in their homes. I sent my last godsawful PC out with the morning FedEx shipment, and good riddance. I found out as I was packing it up that I didn't have the keyboard for it anymore. What are they gonna do? Not a damn thing. I laugh at them, hahahaha. Ahem. They still owe me for that 13-minute report I did a while ago.

The wind fell with an audible thud. Not only did MQ end up giving me the $1000 retention (again, HA!) bonus, minus 15% tax, I also managed to legally qualify for unemployment, $296 worth. How did I do that? Thanks again to Mata Lakshmi. She loves me.

FAR-SEEING
The solstice came and went. I'm not one to take candlelight scryings too seriously, but I did have what might be called auspices of discord. I see flocks of crows flying in the incense smoke inside, and disturb a covey of roosting doves when I go outside...but I take these as what would come did I not act to change it. I will therefore resolve to act as a peacemaker instead of the bringer of strife "fate" would have me. Josh popped in just as I had gone out, and I must have looked a fright, because he immediately asked what was wrong...very observant, that one is.

Today, the sun seems to be as bright as it was this summer. It knows it has won.

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS...
Santa has gone excruciatingly overboard for Morgan. I know this because I have a direct line with Santa. I have a closet full of what Santa can't carry, as he needs room for all the other kids' stuff, and Morgan's lot was just too much. I tried to keep it in check, but Santa has now stretched to encompass four people, four people who all have different ideas about what Morgan's heart's desire is. We'll see.

AND DON'T FORGET
Tomorrow is the observation of Joshmas, the day when we celebrate the birth of our favorite Yule child. Well, mine anyway.
