ICK

Brief TMI: If there is one thing I hate about being an outdoorsy person, it's ticks. I hate their uncrushable, round little bodies, I hate their disease-vector capability and I HATE HATE HATE finding them on myself. I hate watching them wiggle while they suffocate under a layer of antibiotic ointment, or watching them squirm while I cauterize the beejeezus out of them with a pair of fire-heated forceps and then pull. Gggrrrhurgh.

If anything's going to suck my blood, it's going to look like David Boreanaz or James Marsters, and there will be some fun leading up to it.

CROSS QUARTER

Happy Walpurgisnacht and tomorrow Beltane! If biology, desire and availability allows you, engage in some potentially fertilizing relations. If not, well, stick a branch in the ground, light it on fire, and do a little whoohoo dance around it when no one's looking.

EXCUSE PLEASE

I'm stopping again for a while. We have got so damn much going on right now, and I think Josh has taken over as Official Chronicler of Our Lives, which is fine by me. I have very little time for much of anything, let alone recreational typing such as this is.

I'm taking over Morgan's swimming lessons, plus we relented and decided to keep her in gymnastics after all. I'm still working out an hour or more a day, working transcription 8 to 9 to 10 hours a day plus weekends, packing and getting ready to move, fitting in some cross country hiking and wild place investigation, TRYING to get enough sleep, trying not to catch any colds or whatnot despite being in close contact with Sick Boy, budgeting, still purging possessions and making runs to Goodwill, and etc.

On top of that, I'm anticipating getting set up for online courses at Oregon State University, or wherever else will have me, to study environmental science and perhaps, gasp, wildlife management. I have a full plate, so to speak.

Plus, let us not forget the whole getting legally married thing. Regardless of how flip we are about the necessity of it all and the lack of ceremony we're having at that time, it's a little nervous-butterfly-producing.

AND THEN
The coop de gracie, the peace day rayseestonce, the trip to England. All within the next 6 weeks.

So, I am SO not in the mood to blog right now. Maybe later. Until then, read Goblin Cartoons to see whassgoinon from Reed's point of view, because Flint is taking a break.
